Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for testing Substation Automation Systems (SAS) used for various voltage levels in India and abroad for different applications.
- Understand client requirements and review project-specific documents.
- Prepare RTU and HMI configurations based on approved project documents.
- Conduct testing of RTU and HMI configurations and perform inspections with the customer at the factory.
- Provide support to Project Management, Engineering, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 1 – 2 years of experience in configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Substation Automation products and systems.
- Good understanding of studying and analyzing client requirements.
- Knowledge of different network architectures, including RSTP, PRP, and HSR.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and testing Ethernet switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Practical experience with various communication types, such as Ethernet, fiber optic, serial RS232/RS485, and PLCC.
- Working experience with Substation Automation and communication protocols such as SNMP, SNTP, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101, and IEC 60870-5-104.
- Ability to read and interpret panel drawings and schemes.
- Experience verifying technical compliance of hardware and software systems.
- Hands-on experience in preparing HMI configurations, including SLDs, system architectures, bay views, and interlock views.
- Practical experience with RTU systems (e.g., A8000) and Device Manager configuration and testing.
- Experience in testing SAS systems and integrating with different types of IEDs, meters, and devices.
- Familiarity with Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and inspection compliance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates teamwork, agility, resilience, and sincerity.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and build knowledge in new areas.
- Basic understanding of electrical protection systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to collaborate on new solutions and technologies to drive new products and offerings.
