Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools to create reproducible and scalable environments for development, testing, and production.
- Learn to develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system and data backup, disaster recovery, and security and performance monitoring.
- Assist in deploying automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
- Help coordinate and execute software releases, manage versioning, and facilitate rollback plans when necessary.
- Assist in investigating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting production issues reported by monitoring systems and customers.
- Gain an understanding of the organization’s continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Observe and learn DevOps principles and best practices from senior engineers.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Identify opportunities for automation and suggest or implement scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual interventions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve DevOps processes and contribute to the evolution of the development infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence may be considered in place of a formal degree.
- Typically 0–2 years of work experience, preferably in software development, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and principles.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Exposure to automation tools and practices.
- Programming experience in C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience or interest in full-stack development.
- Understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Awareness of scalability considerations in software development.
- Strong foundation in computer science, software development, and software engineering practices.
