Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monthly cloud budgeting and forecasting process, focusing on managing consumption, chargebacks, and cost savings in collaboration with accounting, finance, and technical teams.
- Provide support to stakeholders by helping them understand their cloud expenditure in alignment with their business roadmaps and budget forecasts.
- Continuously monitor cloud consumption at the account level to identify, investigate, and escalate anomalies or unexpected usage spikes.
- Analyze large raw datasets from cloud billing and usage tools to generate reports and meaningful insights.
- Work closely with Cost Optimization Engineers to monitor resource utilization, define appropriate cloud commitment strategies, and reallocate unused capacity effectively.
- Design, build, and maintain reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) that present detailed statistics on cloud resource usage across a multi-cloud environment.
- Evaluate data trends and patterns to uncover insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to business case development, including cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and trade-off assessments.
- Participate in the automation, integration, and advancement of Cloud FinOps processes and data capabilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of at least one cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Tableau or any other business intelligence/reporting tool is a plus.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark and proficiency in SQL Server is advantageous.
- An MBA degree is preferred for better alignment with business-oriented data insights and decision-making.
