Key Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and execute test cases and scenarios based on user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual testing of web applications, APIs, and backend systems to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Collaborate with automation engineers and contribute to automation test design and execution, if applicable.
- Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or similar defect tracking systems.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing to maintain stability across releases.
- Communicate test results, issues, and potential risks to the QA Manager and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and update test documentation in tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Work closely with the QA Manager to enhance QA processes, tools, and standards.
- Assist with performance testing and test data management activities when needed.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 1–2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, various testing types, and Agile principles.
- Proficient in manual testing, with working knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium or Functionize.
- Familiar with API testing tools like Postman or SOAPUI.
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD environments and version control systems like Jenkins and Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within an Agile team environment.
Preferred skills:
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with database testing using SQL.
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber is an added advantage.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications preferred.
