Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce KYC profiles to the highest quality standards, ensuring compliance with the latest policies and procedures, and stay updated on all procedural and policy changes.
  • Obtain and update missing client documentation with the assistance of Relationship Managers (RMs) and the Client Liaison Group (CLG).
  • Source and update accurate and relevant client data from the internet and other bespoke information providers.
  • Follow up on client profiles in line with the latest escalation matrix and ensure all levels of sign-off comply with the current ID matrix requirements.
  • Take complete ownership of assigned profiles or tasks, whether new or reassigned, through to completion.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing with team members, Compliance, Relationship Managers (RMs), and Global Banking and Markets (GBM) teams as required.
  • Meet the defined productivity and quality targets consistently on a month-to-month basis.
  • Submit profiles for audit within the standard timelines after receiving all required information.
  • Interface effectively with the Client Liaison Group, Compliance, Front Office, and Relationship Managers, especially regarding the escalation of pending and ageing profiles.
  • Timely and accurately update management information and control sheets as advised.
  • Take a proactive and responsible approach to urgent requests and queries received from onshore teams.
  • Address escalations and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Proactively upskill by participating in relevant client due diligence training programs.
  • Contribute to process initiatives such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT), impact assessments of policy changes, process re-engineering, and perform the role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when required.
  • Support management in preparing reports and presentations related to process performance and improvements.
  • Assume responsibility during crisis situations, handling issues related to high volumes, escalations, and attrition.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant Group policies and procedures.
  • Interpret regulatory and policy changes, assess their implications, establish necessary action points, and incorporate changes into existing procedures.
  • Stay informed about developments in the financial regulatory environment and proactively educate oneself and the team.
  • Remain aware of the relevant Financial Instructions Manual (FIMs) and Group Standards Manuals (GSM) applicable to the process.
  • Embrace and adapt to changes within the business environment.
  • Ensure adherence to audit and compliance requirements, proactively highlight potential issues to management, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Strive for zero operational and reputational loss.
  • Participate actively in centre-wide activities and forums, contributing ideas to enhance the work environment within KYCS.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Possess an excellent understanding of KYC processes, the financial regulatory environment, and AML risk implications.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legal structures of various client types, including financial institutions, corporates, quoted companies, private companies, funds, and SPVs.
  • Exhibit proven skills in analyzing the implications of mergers and acquisitions on the legal identities and ownership structures of corporates, financial institutions, and funds.
  • Maintain sound knowledge of financial regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory changes and assess their impact on processes and procedures.
  • Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications and proven proficiency with banking platforms.
  • Demonstrate a self-driven and proactive approach to work responsibilities.
  • Bring at least 12 months of hands-on KYCS (Know Your Customer Services) experience.
  • Hold a minimum of a graduation degree or higher, as required for the role.
