Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop models supporting the entire retail credit lifecycle, from origination to collections.
- Enhance existing algorithms and create new proof-of-concept (PoC) models to address evolving business needs.
- Generate tangible business impact by delivering rigorous, data-driven solutions.
- Conduct in-depth research and translate findings into viable PoCs for integration into data products.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and fellow data scientists to solve complex data challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Prior experience working in a data science team within a credit or financial institution.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in a STEM discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in data science tools, including Python for programming, SQL for data querying, and familiarity with production-level tools.
- Solid foundational understanding of probability, statistics, and analytical modeling techniques.
- Ability to think strategically with a big-picture mindset to accurately diagnose problems, conduct research, and identify effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Product Owners and senior business stakeholders.
