Key Responsibilities:
- Implement cybersecurity guidelines for applications hosted on Baker cloud infrastructure.
- Assist customers and deployment teams in implementing cybersecurity guidelines for applications hosted in customer cloud environments.
- Define frameworks and processes for cybersecurity for applications hosted in Baker infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Product Architecture team and Baker IT security team to define tools and processes for maintaining application security.
- Work with architects, independent researchers, and in-house researchers to identify, assess, report, and manage product vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Lead incident response processes related to product cybersecurity and engage in incident response methods.
- Create and track meaningful metrics to monitor product cyber risk and compensating controls for infrastructure and applications.
- Analyze vulnerability and incident trends to enhance infrastructure security.
- Maintain cyber Bills of Material and proactively monitor and assess vulnerabilities in cyber components.
- Conduct application and domain-specific threat modeling and reduce attack surfaces.
- Prepare confidential reports for stakeholders on cybersecurity issues and progress.
- Respond promptly and thoroughly to customer-sponsored penetration tests and queries regarding reported issues.
- Create hardened and VAPT-tested system/image templates and containers for use.
- Drive and lead efforts to achieve certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC, addressing related issues.
- Enforce and execute user policies and procedures effectively.
- Coordinate a 24/7 support team comprising Baker Hughes employees and vendors, providing coaching, training, and support for high-complexity tasks.
- Offer on-call support as required.
- Plan and execute regular audits, implementing best practices based on feedback and outcomes.
- Interface with application architects, security engineers, and infrastructure architects to align implementations with customer success goals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
- Demonstrate knowledge of cybersecurity practices in Azure or AWS environments.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, along with database management.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity and passion for addressing complex challenges.
- Ability to identify and analyze technical risks and impacts, define alternatives, and prioritize solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Graduated from a bachelor’s program within the last 24 months.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English with effective communication skills.
- Display a strong desire to learn and an inquisitive mindset.
- Be legally authorized to work in the country of application without sponsorship or time restrictions.
