Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large volumes of internal and external data to derive strategic insights focused on the mid-to-long-term future of AXP.
- Leverage the power of the closed-loop Amex network to enhance decision-making and deliver more intelligent, relevant solutions.
- Work independently with partners and customers to deliver customized value analytics and actionable insights.
- Utilize a broad range of analytical tools and techniques for data mining, data cleansing, extraction, analysis, transformation, interpretation, and generating insights.
- Collaborate with business owners to understand their needs and provide appropriate, consultative recommendations.
- Use various in-house reporting tools to extract and deliver both standard and customized reports.
- Work closely with analytical teams across regions, both in India and globally, to share best practices, leverage expertise, and align on strategic priorities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering with relevant experience.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA/MS/M.Tech or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 0-2 years of experience in coding with Hive, SQL, or Python is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to apply quantitative methods and business acumen to drive results and deliver actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with the ability to learn quickly, work through unstructured initiatives, and collaborate effectively in team environments and matrix organizations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner with business stakeholders and functional owners.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in programming is essential.
- Knowledge of tools and languages such as SAS, Java, Hive, Pig, Python, SQL, and Lumi is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of predictive modeling and advanced AI/ML algorithms is an added advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with global partners.
