Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on business requirements.
- Data Modeling: Create and manage data models using Power BI Desktop, employing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations to support reporting and analytics.
- ETL Processes: Collaborate with the data engineering team to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud platforms into Power BI.
- Data Integration: Ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data integration from diverse sources for seamless reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Enhance the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards through query optimization, indexing, and data model adjustments.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Power BI reports, dashboards, and solutions to ensure sustainability and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Training and Support: Deliver training and provide support to end-users, promoting best practices in Power BI usage, self-service business intelligence, and report consumption.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Power BI Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Power BI development, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
- Data Modeling and DAX: Proficient in data modeling, creating complex measures using DAX, and developing calculated columns and tables.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases and extracting data from sources such as SQL Server and Azure.
- ETL Processes: Familiarity with ETL tools and methodologies to cleanse, transform, and load data effectively.
- Dashboard Design: Expertise in creating intuitive, interactive dashboards adhering to visualization best practices and user-friendly design principles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present insights effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Azure Experience: Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Advanced Analytics Tools: Experience with Power BI’s advanced analytics features, including integration with Python or R scripts, machine learning models, or AI-driven insights.
- Power BI Administration: Hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration, including workspace management, security settings, and data refresh scheduling.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or other Power BI/BI-related credentials.
