Key Responsibilities:
Test Requirement Understanding and Execution:
- Play a key role in understanding test requirements and designing test cases for the product.
- Author test plans with a solid understanding of business requirements and corresponding testable conditions.
- Implement Wipro’s testing methodology using Model-Based Testing to achieve efficient test generation.
- Ensure test cases are peer-reviewed to minimize rework.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases, ensuring version control.
- Define the criteria, parameters, and scope of testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automate the test life cycle at appropriate stages using VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
Automation Framework Design and Execution:
- Design and execute automation frameworks and reporting systems.
- Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, creating test plans, developing test cases/scenarios, and executing them.
- Ensure test defects raised align with project/program/account norms, providing clear descriptions and replication patterns.
- Detect and document bugs, prepare defect reports, and update stakeholders on test progress.
- Deliver work items within Wipro/Customer SLAs, with no instances of rejection or slippage.
- Design and release timely test status dashboards at the end of each cycle, reporting to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, linking results to quality risks, and reporting them to relevant stakeholders.
Status Reporting and Customer Focus:
- Ensure high-quality communication with customers through well-crafted emails, fault report tracking, voice calls, and professional business etiquette.
- Deliver timely updates such as Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), test execution reports, and dashboard updates in the Test Management Repository.
- Accurately log efforts in eCube, TMS, and other project-related trackers.
- Respond promptly to customer requests, with no instances of internal or external complaints.
