Key Responsibilities:
- Understand Big Data Engineering/processing, Business Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics.
- Possess knowledge of ETL/ELT design and processes.
- Familiar with databases and Data Warehouse modeling.
- Experience in cloud-based data engineering and Machine Learning models.
- Capable of building APIs for application integration.
- Knowledgeable about the software development life cycle processes, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Establish procedures and determine the necessary transformations to transfer both structured and unstructured data from the source to a new physical data model.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement strategies for cleaning and preparing data for analysis, develop data imputation algorithms, and optimize the performance of big data and machine learning systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possesses above-average skills in Big Data Engineering and processing using Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Functions, Spark, and Cloud Storage.
- Has knowledge of cloud data engineering, with experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure being a plus.
- Understands ETL/ELT design and processes, with experience in Apache NiFi and Snowflake as additional assets.
- Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of algorithms and data structures, including appropriate usage and application in common algorithms.
- Proficient in cloud tools such as Object Store (GCS), Kubernetes (GKE), and databases like BigQuery.
- Solid understanding of SQL and databases (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL), including both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python or Java.
- Effective communicator with strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
