Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Feature Engineering: Support the creation and selection of relevant features for machine learning models.
- Model Development: Assist in building, training, and evaluating basic machine learning models under supervision.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, structured, and well-documented records of data processes, models, and analytical outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Learning & Development: Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and self-learning initiatives to enhance data science skills.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and data visualizations to effectively communicate insights and findings.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of programming using Python (including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.
- Possess a basic understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation tasks.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
- Show familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Have a conceptual understanding of common machine learning algorithms, including Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Decision Trees.
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exhibit high learning agility with a strong curiosity to explore new technologies and methodologies.
- Show the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in data handling and analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Have experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Demonstrate familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Possess exposure to big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Have participated in data science bootcamps, online courses, personal projects, or Kaggle competitions.
