Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular and timely phone and email communication with assigned customers to build strong relationships, minimize bad debt risk, and achieve assigned collection and call quality targets.
  • Perform all collection activities in compliance with company policies, procedures, goals, and Accounts Receivable (AR) objectives, including SOX compliance requirements.
  • Apply effective collection strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) while ensuring full recovery of past-due invoices.
  • Communicate proactively with the Sales team regarding overdue accounts and provide timely updates on changes in customer account status.
  • Meet defined departmental and individual performance goals, including month-end reporting deadlines, activity metrics, forecasting, and cash collection targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong, cooperative working relationships with internal teams such as Sales, Billing, Disputes, AR, and Customer Service to resolve payment issues efficiently.
  • Manage customer interactions professionally by remaining polite, tactful, firm, and customer-focused, while following up consistently on payment commitments.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in a timely manner while maintaining strict client confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist customers with vendor registration and payment processes through online customer payment portals.
  • Accurately record detailed customer interactions, payment updates, and account notes in the collections management system.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate potential payment risks related to specific customers, industries, countries, or regions to the Collections Supervisor at an early stage.
  • Inform Sales representatives and the Collections Supervisor of significant account changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate and timely allocation of incoming payments.
  • Provide backup support to the Collections Supervisor when required.
  • Participate in special projects, research activities, and management reporting as assigned.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, collection strategies, and solutions for problematic customers or regions to enhance overall collection efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Brings relevant years of professional experience in collections or accounts receivable functions.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Is detail-oriented, well-organized, and consistently focused on accuracy while meeting deadlines.
  • Works effectively as a team player, contributing individual tasks and processes toward achieving shared team objectives.
  • Possesses a good working knowledge of large ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Has a solid understanding of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive).
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrates a customer-focused mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Is a quick learner and self-starter, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
