Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accessibility testing on assigned products and identify, document, and report defects related to WCAG compliance violations.
- Demonstrate strong testing proficiency while consistently meeting defined productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Apply a clear understanding of accessibility testing methodologies, tools, and assistive technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering teams to support accessibility testing throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Work in coordination with the Testing Lead to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and alignment with expectations for all testing requests.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of testing priorities and effectively manage assigned workloads.
- Develop thorough knowledge of defect drafting standards and bug tracking/reporting tools.
- Review, understand, and effectively implement feedback provided by stakeholders and team leads.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, including mandatory training and accurate time tracking.
- Adhere to Thomson Reuters’ accessibility policies, standards, and internal guidelines.
- Stay up to date with evolving accessibility standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Continuously enhance skills and domain knowledge in the field of accessibility testing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Information Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an accessibility-related role or domain.
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools, including JAWS®, NVDA, and automated accessibility testing solutions.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar defect tracking tools for logging, managing, and tracking bugs.
- Proven ability to successfully facilitate accessibility testing across cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging and collaborating with senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions.
