Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and infrastructure components for the Managed Database Platform.
- Build and enhance Kubernetes-native controllers and Crossplane providers using Go to support automated resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Develop and manage Crossplane Compositions and Composite Resource Definitions (XRDs) to orchestrate multi-resource deployments across AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Create and maintain Crossplane Functions to support complex resource transformations and advanced composition logic.
- Implement Go-based templating solutions to enable dynamic resource generation and configuration management.
- Develop and maintain platform APIs using .NET (C#) and command-line tools using Python to streamline database operations and improve usability.
- Integrate platform capabilities with GitHub APIs to automate repository management, branch protection, and team access controls.
- Design, implement, and manage GitHub Apps and GitHub Actions to enable workflow automation.
- Drive infrastructure enhancements to improve automation, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Create and maintain infrastructure testing frameworks and validation pipelines to ensure platform reliability.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests for platform services and infrastructure components.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including platform, security, operations, and application engineering, to align platform capabilities with organizational objectives.
- Participate in the testing, validation, and documentation of new platform features and infrastructure workflows.
- Support observability, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives across the platform ecosystem.
- Continuously enhance the platform user experience by simplifying workflows and improving developer productivity.
- Contribute significantly to the overall architecture, frameworks, and design of global platform solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong expertise in object-oriented programming using Golang or Python.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Crossplane for infrastructure orchestration and composition development.
- Have working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Crossplane.
- Bring experience integrating with the GitHub API and implementing GitHub Apps and GitHub Actions for workflow automation.
- Be familiar with GitOps principles and the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate efficiently with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have experience with testing frameworks and validation strategies for infrastructure and platform code.
