Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management – Acquire and aggregate data from internal and external primary and secondary sources, and design and maintain suitable data models.
- Insight Generation – Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in underwriting data to produce actionable insights.
- Visualization Development – Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights and clearly present findings to stakeholders and management.
- Analytics Infrastructure – Develop and maintain data and analytics pipelines to support data-driven decision-making, and optimize existing algorithms for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Performance Analysis – Analyze and interpret reports and datasets to recommend strategies that enhance underwriting performance.
- Trend Monitoring – Monitor key indicators and prepare regular reports on industry performance, underwriting trends, and portfolio steering recommendations.
- Advanced Analytics – Apply machine learning and AI techniques to strengthen analytical capabilities and drive automation initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics, with 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrates strong ability to analyze large volumes of data, derive clear conclusions, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Possesses hands-on technical expertise in data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (such as Python or R) and skilled in using reporting and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Shows passion for Agile principles and actively integrates them into daily work practices.
- Displays a continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to discovering better ways of working.
- Exhibits a “can-do” attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies for ongoing upskilling.
- Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possesses basic knowledge of (re)insurance concepts, which is considered an added advantage.
