Key Responsibilities:
- Design requirements for small systems or modules within medium to large-scale environments, and prepare the associated technical documentation.
- Apply basic principles of software engineering, follow established instructions, and provide meaningful feedback during release processes, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Quickly absorb and apply new information while demonstrating a cooperative attitude and actively sharing knowledge with team members.
- Apply modern software development practices, such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code, and work across teams to integrate systems with existing corporate product platforms.
- Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to help translate business requirements and vision into practical solutions.
- Contribute as a member of a close-knit engineering team using agile software development practices, and leverage automation within the scope of assigned work.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 months of experience in Java software programming.
- At least 6 months of experience working with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and respond to shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
- Experience in UI development using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with backend technologies including Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with source code management systems such as SVN, Git, or GitHub, and build tools like Maven and Gradle.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or XP.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Experience developing with modern Java Development Kits (JDK 1.7 or higher).
- Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, and SoapUI.
Preferred Skills:
- Agile Engineering Best Practices: Basic knowledge of delivering assigned engineering tasks on time and reporting progress within Agile ceremonies.
- Engineering Design: Basic understanding of design patterns and the software development lifecycle, along with familiarity with DevOps, SecOps, and FinOps practices that support building effective, efficient, and secure software aligned with business goals.
- Engineering Requirement Analysis: Basic ability to decompose business requirements into actionable software engineering tasks.
- Idea Creation: Basic understanding of creating business value through software engineering and a curious mindset focused on finding more efficient ways to achieve goals.
- Industry Knowledge: Basic awareness of current trends in software engineering and how they relate to the role’s tactical responsibilities.
- Systems Thinking: Basic understanding of how systems integrate with each other and ability to support identification of factors that ensure expected levels of system availability.
