Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of AXP’s core business and the key levers driving various business decisions.
- Analyze large volumes of data to derive actionable business insights and design innovative solutions.
- Leverage the power of the Amex closed-loop network to enable more intelligent and relevant decision-making.
- Drive innovation by developing new and improved approaches using big data and machine learning solutions.
- Clearly structure and articulate business findings across both prospect and customer domains to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain an external perspective by staying informed about developments in the Finance, Payments, and Analytics domains.
Eligibility Criteria:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–30 months of experience in analytics or big data workstreams.
- Proven ability to drive project deliverables and achieve measurable business results.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to learn quickly and work independently on complex, unstructured initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate and integrate with cross-functional business partners across global locations.
- Hands-on experience with SAS, R, Python, Hive, Spark, and SQL.
- Knowledge of unsupervised and supervised learning techniques such as active learning, transfer learning, neural networks/models, decision trees, reinforcement learning, graphical models, Gaussian processes, Bayesian models, MapReduce techniques, and feature/attribute engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in coding, algorithms, and high-performance computing.
