Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent guidance to ensure data and AI/ML use case initiatives across the organization are ideated, designed, and implemented in alignment with internal standards and external regulatory obligations.
- Track and implement use case governance frameworks, including reputational risk policies and risk mitigation protocols, ensuring adherence to internal standards, policies, and procedures in a timely and compliant manner.
- Perform impact analysis, prioritization, and triaging of submitted use cases to ensure all required details are accurately documented at the appropriate tollgates.
- Monitor use case lifecycle KPIs and inventory risk metrics, prepare monthly performance and compliance reports, and escalate issues to relevant councils or governing bodies when necessary.
- Conduct regulatory change impact analyses as required and take a proactive approach to addressing and remediating identified issues.
- Collaborate with various lines of business on cross-functional projects and represent ICB in firmwide meetings and initiatives when needed.
- Review, assess, and enhance existing governance models to strengthen transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to share knowledge, improve visibility, and identify governance gaps, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven experience in AI/ML lifecycle management, data use case management, or data governance project management.
- Prior experience working in the Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) industry.
- Strong ability to build positive working relationships, influence stakeholders, and promote use case governance principles and best practices across the organization.
- Skilled in conducting governance risk assessments for data and AI/ML use cases, identifying potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and recommending effective mitigation actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to concisely present risks, issues, and actions to senior executives and CXO-level stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and the EU AI Act.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data governance, data protection, data retention and destruction, and data quality management practices.
- Experience with AWS, SQL, and Python, along with prior experience in data science or related fields such as data strategy or digital transformation.
- Hands-on experience in implementing AI use cases within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI and AWS SageMaker.
