Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of American Express’s core business operations and the key drivers influencing strategic decisions.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable business insights and develop innovative solutions.
- Leverage the Amex closed-loop network to enhance decision-making, ensuring insights are intelligent, data-driven, and highly relevant.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing advanced approaches using big data and machine learning solutions.
- Clearly structure and present business findings and insights related to prospects and customers to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging developments in finance, payments, and analytics to bring an external perspective to business strategies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0 to 30 months of experience in analytics or big data projects with the ability to drive deliverables and achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Innovative and analytical problem-solver with the ability to learn quickly and work independently on complex, unstructured initiatives.
- Proven capability to collaborate and integrate with global cross-functional business partners.
- Hands-on experience with analytical tools and technologies such as SAS, R, Python, Hive, Spark, and SQL.
- Knowledge of both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including active learning, transfer learning, neural networks, decision trees, reinforcement learning, graphical models, Gaussian processes, Bayesian models, MapReduce, and feature engineering.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong expertise in coding, algorithm development, and high-performance computing.
