Key Responsibilities:
- Review product requirement documents and analyze customer use cases to ensure clear understanding.
- Collaborate with senior architects in designing and drafting software functional specifications for new features.
- Work alongside senior development engineers to develop features and contribute to early unit and integration testing.
- Design comprehensive test plans based on customer use cases.
- Participate in functional quality assurance (QA) testing and end-to-end testing processes.
- Automate use cases using programming languages such as Python or Ruby.
- Contribute to innovative software testing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Share knowledge by conducting brown bag sessions, delivering tech talks, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Ensure product stability and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python or Ruby.
- Proficiency in writing professional production code in C and C++.
- Hands-on experience with core network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and ARP.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well in team environments.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in dynamic environments.
- Experience working directly with customers to understand networking infrastructure, debug issues, and resolve network problems.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, or CCIE.
- Cisco Wireless background with knowledge of 802.11 and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Strong understanding of wireless protocols and network security fundamentals.
- Experience in building cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., web applications).
- Familiarity with development and test tools such as GitHub, Yocto, OpenWRT, Gerrit, GIT, Spirent, Ixia, or iPerf for traffic generation.
