Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to implement solutions that align with and extend shared platforms and systems.
- Apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, Continuous Integration (CI), software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
- Write clean, standard-compliant code that delivers the required functionality using the chosen project technologies.
- Develop features such as web services and create queries on existing database tables.
- Analyze performance parameters and evaluate application performance.
- Work with core data structures and algorithms, implementing them in the programming language of choice.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with basic experience.
Required Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and C#.
- Experience with database management systems like MS SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and writing/maintaining efficient SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, TypeScript, CSS, and AngularJS.
- Familiarity with modern development tools such as Maven, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience working with MS Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
- Skilled in developing client/server applications and services for MS Windows operating systems.
- Ability to build features such as web services and queries on existing tables.
- Knowledge of methodologies and practices such as Lean, Agile, and XP.
- Prior work experience in an Agile environment or introductory training in Lean/Agile practices.
- Understanding and application of Continuous Integration (CI).
- General awareness of the impact of technology choices on the software development lifecycle.
Additional Beneficial (Optional) Technical Expertise
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Experience in developing and maintaining software and services for Linux.
- Knowledge of database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with additional front-end frameworks such as BackboneJS, EmberJS, and KnockoutJS.
- Experience with modern tooling such as Gradle and SVN.
- Exposure to database tools such as JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, and Spring Data.
- Experience working with modern IDEs such as Eclipse.
