Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand end-user requirements to design and develop effective software solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of applications within the overall system architecture by following standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools.
- Develop algorithms, data models, and process models; design system interfaces and prepare interface control documents to support the implementation of moderately complex solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing idiomatic RESTful APIs using Spring Framework (v6.0+), Spring Boot (v3.0+), and Spring Security (v6.0+) in Java (v17+); familiarity with other programming languages such as Scala or Kotlin is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with relational database management systems, including SQL Server (2018+) and Teradata (v17+), along with skills in basic SQL scripting and querying; additional expertise in schema design, data modeling, and query optimization is preferred.
- Proficient in front-end technologies including TypeScript (v5+), JavaScript (ES6+), Angular (v15+), Material UI, and AmCharts (v5+).
- Experienced in working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Git, Gradle, SonarQube, Coverity, Docker, and Kubernetes; strong foundation in test-driven development using JUnit, Mockito, and Hamcrest.
- Skilled in shell scripting (Bash/Sh), with practical experience in CI/CD tools and processes such as GitLab CI or similar platforms; hands-on knowledge of OCI containers using Docker, Podman, or Buildah.
- Exposure to data analysis and engineering using Apache Spark (v3+) with Scala, and experience working with data formats such as Apache Iceberg and Parquet; knowledge of Trino or Presto is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure, particularly in areas such as virtual machines, container runtimes, and BLOB storage, is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong backend development experience using Java, Scala, or Kotlin, with a basic understanding of data analysis and engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Parquet),
OR foundational backend experience with advanced data analysis and engineering skills,
OR moderate backend experience with strong frontend development skills (e.g., Angular 15+, SASS, Angular Material) and exposure to DevOps pipelines such as GitLab CI.
Typical Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 to 5 years of professional experience,
OR - Master’s degree with typically 1 to 2 years of professional experience (preferred but not mandatory).
