Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the fundamentals of data preparation and data modeling required for effective visualization.
- Gather reporting requirements from various stakeholders, design the solution or report, analyze source data, and deliver reports within agreed timelines.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor performance, fine-tune, and optimize dashboards for better efficiency and user experience.
- Connect to multiple data sources through Power BI as needed.
- Publish and share dashboards and schedule data refreshes as required.
- Handle complex data visualization or data modeling challenges effectively.
- Apply strong SQL skills, preferably with SQL Server, along with solid knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
- Experience with any ETL tool, preferably SSIS, is an added advantage.
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents accurately.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Power BI user and group security configuration.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred skills:
- Strong conceptual knowledge and experience with other BI tools is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a Power BI developer, including work in an Azure environment.
- Experience in implementing Power BI reports that read data from diverse sources, including on-premise servers, cloud services, and various file formats.
- Skilled in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Power BI.
- Proficient with Power BI Desktop, Gateway, Service, and Report Server.
- Hands-on experience in developing Paginated Reports using Report Builder.
- Experience migrating SSRS reports and tabular reports to Power BI Paginated Reports.
- Solid understanding of Power Query M and practical experience building complex DAX queries.
- Experience implementing static and dynamic Row-Level Security, with extensive expertise in dataset design, data cleansing, and data aggregation.
- Strong understanding of relational database structures, principles, and best practices.
- Proficient in SQL reporting, with the ability to create SQL views and write custom SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with team members, peers, and clients, with flexibility in scheduling as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a macro-level research and analytical approach, and proficiency working with numerical data.
