Key Responsibilities:
- Develop workflows and macros in Alteryx to perform data transformations and apply business rules efficiently.
- Utilize Alteryx to implement high-level and detailed validations to ensure data quality and build user confidence in datasets.
- Use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to capture analytical findings and present them to customers in a clear and impactful manner.
- Organize and actively participate in discussions with customers to identify data quality issues and contribute to defining business rules for resolution.
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing and debugging SQL queries to extract datasets from data warehouses and other relational databases.
- Collaborate with Essbase developers to align data feed structures with the dimensional requirements of the application.
- Support the Essbase development team by testing loaded data and identifying issues through sanity checks.
- Partner with customers during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase and coordinate with the development team to resolve any identified data or application issues.
- Serve as a Level 2 support resource, capable of deeply analyzing data and understanding process flows and breakpoints.
- Liaise with internal groups within Mastercard Operations and Technology to ensure compliance with technical standards and effectively manage change and new development requirements.
- Possess strong skills in metadata management, data transformation/manipulation, and reporting, ideally within a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) environment.
- Bring prior FP&A experience to facilitate productive engagement with stakeholders by understanding the data within the context of financial planning and analysis.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong proficiency in developing and managing Alteryx workflows and macros.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively on both Windows and Linux server environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing, testing, and ensuring the quality of data workflows.
- Strong capability to analyze and debug workflows created by other team members.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment with a high degree of responsiveness to business needs.
- Comfortable working within a Finance organization, with a hands-on, “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
