Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to pre-planning activities by identifying and highlighting potential risks associated with the product or service.
- Prepare control checklists required for reviews of both regulatory and non-regulated functions.
- Design and execute work programs to assess compliance with relevant rules and regulations while adhering to established deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior business and compliance leaders during the scoping phase, control design assessments, and reporting of findings, offering solutions to address control gaps and improve processes.
- Develop and lead walkthrough sessions by formulating relevant questions and identifying key control elements during the process.
- Identify applicable controls, particularly those related to identified risks, after participating in walkthroughs.
- Draft initial issue documentation by identifying and including critical information and key observations.
- Define testing scripts and coordinate with development teams to execute them during the review process; assess the results in collaboration with the manager.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on understanding product-specific regulations and controls.
- Demonstrated interest and capability in Controls Testing, including assessing control design and evaluating operational effectiveness—this is a key foundational skill. Basic knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) is preferred.
- Passionate about technical compliance and motivated to conduct large-scale investigative reviews.
- Solid understanding of applicable regulations in India and the APAC region.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and inquisitive individual with strong time management, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Quick learner with a strong ability to interpret complex regulations and business processes across various jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility and foster strong partnerships with senior business leaders, control functions, and global corporate partners.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports independently.
- Possesses a university degree and/or relevant industry or audit qualifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL is preferred.
