Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and the guiding principles outlined in the J&J Credo.
- Maintain operational excellence in all accounting and financial activities.
- Execute daily accounting operations for the Intercompany Accounting process for complex MRCs.
- Ensure timely closing and execution of financial periods as per the defined closing calendar and SLA commitments, while strictly adhering to Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX requirements.
- Take ownership of the accuracy, completeness, and validity of reported actuals within the assigned process or entity.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in global procedures and compliance requirements relevant to the role.
- Focus consistently on balance sheet reconciliations to minimize open items and maintain financial accuracy.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new team members and BPO partners.
- Support auditors and legal authorities in the execution of audits and other related activities.
- Implement and enforce global policies and procedures, identify compliance risks, and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place to secure favorable internal and external audit outcomes.
Strategic Alignment & Partnership:
- Support the implementation of global strategy and solutions in alignment with established taxonomy.
- Collaborate with Process Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Operational Key Contacts (OKCs) to drive cross-sector, cross-region, and cross-process consistency and alignment.
- Ensure proper documentation and standardization to maintain a unified global approach.
- Act as a trusted business partner by aligning operations with organizational goals and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Generate, develop, and implement innovative ideas that enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead improvement initiatives in alignment with global standards and best practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Basic proficiency in standard Microsoft tools, including MS Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated academic excellence through a strong academic record or notable achievements.
- Open-minded with the ability to adopt new insights and develop effective working practices.
- Active involvement in extracurricular activities, with experience in leadership roles within organizations or clubs.
Preferred skills:
- Prior full-time work experience is an advantage.
- Experience with summer internships or part-time job roles is preferred.
- Willingness to travel based on business requirements.
- Flexible to work in shifts to accommodate global or regional responsibilities (Americas / EMEA / Asia).
- Proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus.
