Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and enhance the performance of advanced algorithms applied to large-scale datasets, contributing to cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning.
- Design and implement scalable system prototypes for AI-driven applications.
- Collaborate with team members throughout the system development lifecycle, from initial prototyping to full-scale production deployment.
- Develop practical solutions for complex, real-world, large-scale challenges using AI and machine learning technologies.
- Engage in research across a wide range of focus areas at Microsoft Research (MSR) India, with internship opportunities available throughout the year—primarily during the summer.
- Participate in the internship program by working closely with mentors, collaborating with fellow interns and researchers, sharing findings through presentations, and contributing to the community culture.
- Receive full support during the internship, including competitive compensation and assistance with visa applications when required.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or currently pursuing) in a relevant field,
or - Master’s degree in a relevant field,
or - Equivalent practical experience in a related domain.
- Additional / Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field,
or - Equivalent experience in the relevant research or technical area
- Demonstrated experience publishing academic research papers as a lead author or significant contributor
- Prior participation in top-tier conferences within a relevant research domain
