Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis to support credit ratings, research activities, and analytical outreach initiatives.
- Apply Moody’s Information Services (MIS) standards to existing data to generate meaningful inputs for the rating and research process, including adjusted data, key financial indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs.
- Perform data intake activities, including scrubbing and validating data to ensure accuracy and usability in research and ratings.
- Review and interpret financial reports, official statements, and other issuer-related documents to assess performance.
- Collaborate with analysts and accounting specialists to understand the application of accounting principles and other relevant concepts.
- Coordinate with rating and support analysts to identify data capture requirements, necessary adjustments, and additional information needed for the rating process.
- Perform basic calculations and exercise judgment where needed for more complex data computations.
- Collect data from multiple sources, including unstructured formats, and update internal databases while escalating or resolving data-related issues.
- Deliver routine outputs such as newsletters, maintain databases, and provide administrative or ad-hoc support for high-profile tasks under supervision.
- Take initiative by contributing to ongoing projects and participating in process improvement efforts.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of fundamental finance concepts and the structure of financial statements.
- Basic knowledge of capital markets and their functioning.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate-level skills in Excel.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in credit or financial data analysis and interpretation; exposure to fundamental finance or accounting is a plus.

Credit Analysis:
- Basic understanding of how data aligns with rating methodologies and models.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial metrics reported by rated entities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Ability to interact with team members, direct managers, and a limited number of external/internal stakeholders professionally.
Project Management:
- Capable of developing working knowledge across multiple projects or deliverables with appropriate guidance.
