Key Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of software and systems to support the design, development, and modification of test cases for embedded software, cloud applications, system algorithms, application software, automation tools, and specialized utilities.
- Design and implement basic test plans, test scenarios, scripts, and procedures to identify defects in targeted areas of the codebase.
- Develop functional tests for software features to ensure they perform as expected.
- Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects and issues.
- Collaborate with project team members to meet objectives and enhance product quality.
- Contribute to the development of test automation scripts to increase testing productivity and efficiency.
Level of Responsibility:
- Work is performed under supervision with guidance provided.
- Decision-making is limited to the immediate area of work or workgroup.
- Requires basic verbal and written communication skills to relay routine factual information.
- Tasks may involve multiple steps that can be completed in varying sequences; requires planning, basic problem-solving, and prioritization for effective execution.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of academic or professional experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 1 year of experience in software or system testing, including developing and automating test plans and tools.
- Familiarity with tools such as Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration (CI) tools, and Bug Tracking Systems.
