Key Responsibilities:
- Support client and stakeholder engagements for MEI (Macroeconomics and Insights) across Europe.
- Collaborate with external clients, academic institutions, and industry partners to support joint initiatives.
- Assist in developing and testing hypotheses at the intersection of economics, retail, and commerce.
- Structure work effectively at the stream or small project level with minimal guidance.
- Conduct creative analyses and develop proprietary diagnostic indices by working with large, complex datasets, including big data and macroeconomic data.
- Generate initial insights to support the development of impactful storylines, visuals, and presentations.
- Synthesize analytical findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Assist in drafting reports and client presentations at the stream or small project level.
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing products and collaborate with internal teams to develop new solutions.
- Proactively acquire new knowledge and structure project work to efficiently capture intellectual capital.
- Participate actively in the development of new solutions and thought leadership by building and sharing expertise, best practices, and insights in retail and commerce economic research.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics (preferred), Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong ability to think critically, solve problems, and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or other major languages is essential.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with JavaScript for creating custom visualizations is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of key econometric and statistical techniques, including:
- Predictive modeling
- Logistic regression
- Survival analysis
- Time series modeling
- Design of experiments
