Accountabilities:
- Identify, collect, and extract data from various internal and external sources.
- Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure data quality and suitability for analysis.
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
- Design and implement statistical and machine learning models to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships in data.
- Build and deploy predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to explore and identify data-driven opportunities that add business value.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a numerical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
- Demonstrated alignment with Barclays Values and Mindset.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R, along with experience in machine learning frameworks/tools like Scikit-learn and TensorFlow.
- Strong SQL skills for querying across multiple databases and performing rapid prototyping of automation solutions.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning and data mining principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to stakeholders across various functions and seniority levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Sound understanding of technology and/or business processes.
- Expertise in cloud technologies, especially AWS; experience with Gen AI implementation is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools like Power Automate or Alteryx.
- Intellectual honesty paired with a strong sense of curiosity and continuous learning.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively, particularly in the context of understanding and addressing Treasury-related challenges.
