Key Responsibilities:
- Process various accounts payable transactions, including data entry of vendor invoices, expense reports, and manual or emergency check requests.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and mortgage-related transactions.
- Assist accountants and controllers in resolving accounts payable issues as they arise.
- Respond to property-related inquiries via phone and email.
- Post accounting corrections and reclassification entries to ensure accurate financial records for income and expense accounts.
- Prepare monthly bank and mortgage reconciliations.
- Analyze cash deposits received in bank accounts and apply payments to tenant accounts accordingly.
- Research tenant ledger history to identify discrepancies related to overpayments or short payments.
- Process weekly accounts payable transactions for multiple properties, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with JLL’s accounts payable policies and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to standard accounts payable procedures among JLL employees, including site and accounting personnel.
- Assist in training new accounts payable employees as needed.
- Collect and track department processing metrics on a daily basis.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and vendors as required.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed by the supervisor.
