Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and familiarize with processes and tools.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate stakeholders as needed.
- Develop expertise in a specific area or product while relying on the team for domain knowledge.
- Contribute to team learning and efficiency as experience is gained.
- Receive task estimates from a supervisor or mentor, with some input; tasks are typically limited in number and duration.
- Capture actual efforts in status reports and ensure accurate tracking.
- Understand requirements related to assigned tasks.
- Implement assigned tasks, including developing simple features or test cases with assistance.
- Write and execute test cases in defined product areas and document identified issues.
- Execute prewritten tests and document any encountered problems.
- Participate in system setup and maintenance activities as part of the team.
- Conduct initial analysis of problems in defined areas and assist in gathering information for debugging and resolution.
- Fix defects within assigned code areas, resolving simple issues with guidance.
- Create clear and accurate change or patch documentation.
- Review test cases to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Handle contacts and User Communication Forms (UCFs) in designated product areas with support, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate effectively in virtual teams, receiving guidance from team members in various locations.
- Participate in innovation initiatives as part of a team and contribute to the creation of knowledge documents.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
Preferred skills:
- No prior experience required; internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a global team with multiple stakeholders across functions, business units, and geographical regions.
- Proficiency in communicating task-related information with clients.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language.
