Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed manual test cases, including objectives and step-by-step execution procedures.
- Execute manual test cases to ensure software functionality and quality.
- Automate manual test cases using QTP within a keyword-driven framework.
- Perform regression testing using automated scripts for service pack and cumulative patch releases.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the finance domain and the product.
- Develop expertise in the internal workings of the test automation framework.
- Learn and apply VB scripting and other relevant scripting languages for automation.
- Enhance and improve the existing automation framework to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with test automation concepts, tools, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the finance domain is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of theories, practices, and procedures in software testing.
- Ability to work within standardized procedures and meet deadlines efficiently.
- General business knowledge acquired through education or experience.
- Capability to follow established practices to analyze data, monitor systems, and solve problems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues by following predefined scripts.
