Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with designers and researchers as part of one of Uber’s product teams, contributing to key projects.
- Design experiences that impact millions of users while bringing fresh insights and perspectives to the team.
- Develop and refine prototypes using the latest high- and low-fidelity prototyping tools, staying up to date with industry trends throughout the internship.
- Work alongside product team members to ensure precise execution, gaining exposure to release cycles and understanding critical details at each stage of the product development process.
- Leverage Uber’s design system while enhancing the framework to address evolving use cases.
- Present design work to the broader Design Team, receiving valuable feedback and building strong portfolio pieces.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, with an expected graduation in 2025 or 2026.
- Intermediate conversational English skills, with confidence in reading and writing. Willingness to dedicate time to further improving language proficiency.
- Availability to start in July 2025 or earlier, with a commitment of six months.
- A growing portfolio showcasing standout work, including at least one project demonstrating the ability to create high-quality UI/UX. This may include academic projects, hackathons, design competitions, or published work.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong awareness of the latest design trends across mobile, web, and desktop applications, along with ideas for improving user experiences.
- Expertise in one or more specialized areas such as motion design, iconography, UX system flows, modern UI visuals, design engineering and prototyping, or sophisticated tool design.
- A track record of delivering exceptional design work with an understanding of key details at each stage of the product release cycle.
- Experience in end-to-end product design, covering both UI and UX aspects.
- A portfolio that reflects high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX design.
