Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in conducting quarterly valuation and reserving-related activities.
  • Prepare and maintain data for valuation models.
  • Accurately execute predefined modeling processes, including implementing assumptions, running models, debugging, validating results, and delivering outputs to reporting actuaries or business owners.
  • Perform validations and analyses to ensure the accuracy of produced numbers, maintaining detailed audit trails and documentation of key checks and validations.
  • Ensure team deliverables are completed within pre-approved timelines.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for system and model changes related to actuarial production.
  • Drive continuous improvements by enhancing and extending existing model-building and validation tools, while critically assessing current processes.
  • Apply technical expertise and process skills to address problems and develop solutions, including investigating data or modeling issues and reconciling different reports or numbers.
  • Provide support for special projects undertaken to meet specific objectives as required.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline, obtained within the last three years (Postgraduate qualifications are not permitted).

Preferred Skills:

  • No formal prior work experience; internships are exempted.
  • Enrollment as a student member of any actuarial professional institute (e.g., India, UK, US) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental actuarial concepts.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn from experienced industry professionals across various fields for professional growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail; capable of quickly understanding business structures, product features, and model requirements.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and supporting team members, peers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with VB Macros and SQL is an added advantage.
