Key Responsibilities:
- Advise Service Officers from divisions and infrastructure functions on data protection-related controls, attestations, and evidences required to comply with the TPRM process and GDP Transfer Impact Assessment, including Schrems II requirements for vendor engagements.
- Conduct reviews of TPRM transactions for new or existing service relationships, ensuring outsourced activities and service relationships comply with established controls to address and mitigate potential risks.
- Prepare submissions to GDP Business Partners or local DPOs for risk acceptance and approval in accordance with GDP Key Operating Documents (KOD), including follow-ups and escalations when necessary.
- Maintain documentation of GDP-related transactions, findings, and identified risks within the TPRM tool.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments in data protection requirements related to outsourcing, including GDP policies, procedures, and updates to GDP Key Operating Documents.
- Collaborate closely with GDP Business Partners, local DPOs, and other control function units performing TPRM tasks.
- Develop and maintain expertise in data privacy regulatory requirements, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and stay updated on relevant regulatory and industry trends.
- Maintain strong collaboration with other functions within GDP Berlin, such as Controls Assurance, Law Monitoring, and Training & Awareness teams.
- Provide ad hoc support for Controls Assurance activities as needed.
Eligibility Criteria:
- University degree, preferably in Business, Operations, or Law (law degree is a plus).
- Knowledge of privacy regulations, financial industry practices, outsourcing, or IT is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in delivering formal presentations and making recommendations in a corporate setting, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in English (both oral and written) is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
- Experience with SharePoint or other database tools is a plus.
