Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Exposure Development team in India to support the creation and enhancement of exposure models.
- Conduct primary research required for the development and implementation of exposure modeling initiatives.
- Acquire knowledge of relevant technologies and analytics to contribute effectively to RMS product development.
- Perform research on data sets and analytics to aid in exposure development across various geographies, utilizing public and open-source data where applicable.
- Assist in the development of valuation models for diverse types of buildings and infrastructure.
- Investigate and understand the characteristics and dynamics of property insurance markets globally.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Urban Planning, Remote Sensing, or Geoinformatics.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in IT tools, particularly R, Python, or SQL.
- Understanding of building construction practices across various countries and an interest in the social and cultural factors influencing growth and development.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to investigating and resolving issues.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Interest in catastrophic risk modeling and the property insurance industry.
