Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across BU FP&A, HQ, Market Lead Finance Officers (LFOs), Finance Decision Science (FDS), Risk Finance, and Controllership to support the Annual Plan and Long-Range Planning processes for the ICS Spend vertical.
- Conduct monthly results analysis for the Spend vertical, generating insights to better understand business performance, identify key trends, and evaluate their impact on future outcomes.
- Manage ongoing risk and opportunity assessments for assigned Spend lines.
- Provide actionable insights on ICS Billings performance and its future trajectory through the analysis of historical trends, market dynamics, and the macroeconomic environment.
- Conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses on key Revenue and Expense lines.
- Support Finance Transformation Projects, emphasizing continuous process improvements through innovation and automation.
- Develop insightful content and analyses for presentations to senior leaders across business and finance teams.
- Promote and actively contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and teamwork.
Functional Skills/Capabilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of AXP businesses and the P&L structure.
- Experience with the AXP Financial Planning process, particularly in supporting any Segment/BU P&L, is highly advantageous.
- Expertise in building driver-based financial models and deriving insights from extensive datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in managing large datasets using data mining techniques such as SQL, Python, or SAS, would be an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with platforms and tools such as TM1, Power BI, and Oracle Smart View.
Behavioral Skills/Capabilities:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey information in a concise, clear, and precise manner.
- Proven ability to solve unstructured problems and manage ambiguity effectively.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and shifts as required.
