Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in design reviews and story refinement sessions to gain a clear understanding of new features and bug fixes.
- Create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain both automated and manual tests, including automation frameworks.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving the continuous testing approach.
- Conduct or participate in root cause analysis of issues to determine initial steps for resolution.
- Collaborate with one or two other Quality Engineers to take shared responsibility for the successful testing of a customer-facing application, ensuring timely execution.
- Provide release readiness updates to stakeholders, including clear communication of risk assessments.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as required.
- Maintain and update test repositories and development tools repositories.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Core Skills
- Proficiency in designing and coding complex test cases and contributing to frameworks that streamline test development and automation.
- Ability to write comprehensive test plans for features and provide accurate time estimates for task completion.
- Capability to identify potential risks in test development for assigned features and implement mitigation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with automated API testing using frameworks like pytest.
- Expertise in automation testing with Python.
- UI testing experience with tools such as Selenium.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in source code control systems, with a preference for Git.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Linux environments.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (experience with Jenkins is an advantage).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- GUI testing experience with tools like Cypress or Playwright.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Kubernetes, Containers, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Bugzilla or Jira.
