Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Junior Specialist intern within the Knowledge Management Services (KMS) Team, contributing to the enhancement of BCG’s knowledge base.
- Focus on Knowledge Curation activities, including identifying, extracting, and sanitizing valuable content across document repositories, and sharing it with the broader BCG community.
- Support Content Managers by contributing to various activities and initiatives while delivering exceptional customer service to Topic, Cases, and Practice Area teams.
- Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that fosters continuous learning, with a strong customer focus.
- Participate in basic coaching and mentoring of junior team members.
- Solve problems effectively and work both independently and collaboratively within the team.
- Embrace the opportunity to grow and develop skills in an apprenticeship culture.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with customers, maintaining a positive and engaged attitude to help build a loyal customer base for the Knowledge Management Services team.
Eligibility Criteria:
- University degree with a record of high academic achievement.
- 0-2 years of experience in general knowledge/content management and/or research, ideally in a professional services firm, academia, or government.
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with research techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant sectors or topics is an advantage.
- Fluency in English with excellent business writing skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders in a global, collaborative team environment.
Preferred skills:
- Strong understanding of Knowledge Management (KM) concepts and its application in a professional setting.
- Capture content from high-impact cases within BCG’s Global Advantage Practice Area, working under the supervision of the Content Manager and Knowledge Team, in collaboration with case teams.
- Collaborate with the Content Manager to identify knowledge gaps on BCG’s intranet and fill them with targeted case curation.
- Ensure content quality in collaboration with the Content Manager to keep knowledge IP relevant to rapidly changing commercial priorities and make it searchable on the intranet.
- Conduct content sanitization services, ensuring high-quality deliverables that adhere to BCG’s confidentiality standards.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, working independently and as part of a global team.
- Adapt to stakeholder requirements with excellent process and planning skills, exhibiting strong follow-through and accountability.
- Participate in cross-team projects, fostering collaboration and innovation to improve processes and projects.
- Build relationships with assigned Practice Areas, providing specific services and drafting basic reports on Knowledge Management (KM) activity.
- Review project objectives with the Team Manager, proactively suggesting the most appropriate and timely approach.
- Identify and help resolve process-related issues as they arise.
- Proactively solve recurring and familiar problems, assessing the complexity and seeking appropriate solutions.
- Develop relationships with team members and Practice Area/Function, providing support as needed.
- Work closely with Specialists and Senior Specialists in the team or Practice Area to deepen understanding and deliver specific support services.
