- Serve as a data thought partner for product and business leaders across marketplace teams by providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data-driven decisions.
- Lead day-to-day product analytics and develop scalable data tools.
- Utilize Airbnb’s machine learning infrastructure and central data science tools to build advanced analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and operations agents to achieve shared, cross-functional goals.

A Typical Day:
- Design Processes and Metrics:
- Define and implement the functional strategy.
- Ensure the timely delivery of work in alignment with functional goals.
- Review quality assurance deliverables, reports, and insights, while creating and evaluating QA plans.
- Improve or innovate new processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with leaders and managers to identify and address data and reporting needs for various company projects.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.
- Prepare Reports/Dashboards and Build Actionable Insights:
- Conduct data analysis to extract actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Create, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models to support regional and global operations.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics to identify operational weaknesses.
- Deep Insightful Analysis and Advanced Analytics:
- Provide solutions to business problems through quick ad-hoc analyses and deliver deep insights.
- Offer robust analytical solutions through advanced statistical analysis.
- Visualization/Dashboarding Expertise:
- Build and maintain Superset/Tableau dashboards.
- Triage and resolve bugs related to dashboards.
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Track performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify opportunities for new dashboards or features.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven experience in data analytics or data science.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative fields.
- Preferred experience in Startup, Tech, Analytics, or E-Commerce sectors.
- Expertise in Superset/Tableau (or other BI tools), with experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL/NoSQL and familiarity with Git, Python, and/or R.
- Strong background in insightful data analytics with knowledge of advanced statistical analytics and metric creation.
- Familiarity with Hypothesis Testing and Machine Learning models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Expertise in stakeholder and project management, with strong analytical capabilities and a logic-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex topics for broader audiences.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to thrive in dynamic environments with high levels of ambiguity.
