Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply MIS standards to existing data to generate valuable inputs for the rating and research process, including Moody’s adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs, in line with MIS methodologies.
  • Perform various data intake tasks, such as scrubbing and validating data for further use in research and ratings.
  • Review and analyze financial reports, official statements, and other documents related to issuers’ performance.
  • Collaborate directly with ratings and support analysts to understand data capture requirements, adjustments, and other information needed by the rating team for ratings and research.
  • Conduct simple calculations and apply judgment for other data calculations.
  • Collect data from various sources, including unstructured ones, update relevant databases, and escalate or resolve issues as needed.
  • Complete tasks such as creating newsletters, maintaining databases, and providing more complex or high-profile administrative support with oversight.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation; experience in structured finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good interpersonal abilities.
  • Language skills may be required for certain positions.

Preferred skills:

  • Basic understanding of the role of data within methodologies.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret financial metrics reported by rated entities.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Interact with team members, direct managers, and a limited number of other stakeholders.

Project Management:

  • Develop a working knowledge of more than one simple project or deliverable, with guidance.
