Key Responsibilities:
- Collate and process payroll inputs for both regular payroll and Full and Final settlement.
- Reconcile investment declarations/proofs and ensure accurate income tax deductions.
- Analyze payroll transactions for proper classification and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards.
- Ensure timely remittances and filing of returns for all government statutory requirements such as EPF, PT, TDS, LWF, and ESIC, and handle any notices from these authorities.
- Assist internal stakeholders in audit, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Stay updated on the latest amendments in taxation, provident fund, and payroll-related guidelines/circulars issued by governing authorities.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the latest payroll and compliance guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all current payroll policies, and create process documents and procedures to document each payroll process.
- Assist with continuous improvements and automation of payroll-related processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate or postgraduate in Accounting or HR,
- B.Com degree and 0-1.8 years of experience in GL/RTR processes.
Preferred skills:
- Graduate or postgraduate in Accounting or HR.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications and SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of basic auditing and internal control standards.
- Experience with India tax and statutory compliances, as well as in-depth payroll processing activities, analysis, and management reporting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work within strict timelines.
- Good understanding of business terminology, operations, financial policies, and internal controls.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to data privacy.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to nonstandard transactions and processes.
- Capable of working in a flexible, high-pressure, and client-driven environment.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work, document processes, and report concisely.
