Key Responsibilities:
- Develop data structures and pipelines according to established standards and guidelines to organize, collect, standardize, and transform data, facilitating insights and reporting needs.
- Ensure data quality throughout the entire process, from ingestion and processing to the final load into target tables.
- Create standard ingestion frameworks for both structured and unstructured data, including monitoring and reporting on data quality.
- Develop standard methods for end users and downstream applications to consume data, including database views, extracts, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Develop and maintain information systems such as data warehouses and data lakes, including data access through APIs.
- Participate in implementing solutions via data architecture, data engineering, or data manipulation on both on-premises platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Teradata) and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks).
- Determine the appropriate storage platform across different environments, including on-premises (e.g., minIO, Teradata) and cloud (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift), based on privacy, access, and sensitivity requirements.
- Understand data lineage from the source to the final semantic layer, along with transformation rules, to enable faster troubleshooting and impact analysis during changes.
- Collaborate with technology and platform management teams to optimize data sourcing and processing rules, ensuring data quality and process efficiency.
- Handle data migrations and conversions as data platforms evolve and new standards are introduced.
- Proactively recognize and resolve technical issues by leveraging knowledge of policies and processes.
- Apply data sensitivity, customer data privacy rules, and regulations consistently in all Information Lifecycle Management activities.
- Identify and respond to system notifications and logs to maintain quality standards for databases and applications, solving abstract problems by reusing existing data files and flags.
- Resolve critical issues and share knowledge regarding trends, aggregates, and data source volumes.
- Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
