Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering:
- Develop data pipelines using Apache Spark in the AWS environment.
- Create fact tables for the Analytics team in Databricks Lakehouse.
- Code in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
- Automate processes by implementing CI/CD in Jenkins.
- Write clean, readable, well-designed, and well-documented code with tests.
- Participate in all Sprint rituals in collaboration with the EU eCom team in Amsterdam and data engineers in the Gurgaon tech hub.
Reporting & Monitoring:
- Implement new reporting structures within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and quality across the outputs provided.
- Monitor the health of critical data pipelines and set up automated structures for this purpose.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field of study. A master’s degree is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, ideally in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a hands-on mentality.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in an eCommerce environment is a plus.
- Proven track record of developing Big Data pipelines using Python/PySpark and/or Scala.
- Extensive experience with ETL tools (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, Databricks, Snowflake, Jenkins, Alteryx) through involvement in various automation projects/workstreams.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SCRUM setups.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket) is a plus.
- Any experience with Databricks is a strong plus.
- Experience with Clickstream data is a plus.
