Key Responsibilities:
- Research, conceive, and develop technology solutions to enhance and improve IBKR’s client-facing and back-end applications.
- Write client-side and server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and quickly develop prototypes.
- Work closely with the engineering team based in other IBKR offices in Europe and the US.
- Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to large amounts of data and information.
- Address and solve all problems that arise.
Eligibility Criteria:
- MCA/BE/BTech/MTech/ME degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from a reputed institution.
- Experience programming in Java and Oracle/MySQL.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and other data storage solutions.
- Fluency in the English language.
Preferred Skills:
- MCA/ME in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages like Perl, Unix Shell, Awk, or Python.
- Some programming experience in web technologies like PHP and AJAX.
- Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Ability to perform under pressure in time-critical situations using sound judgment and professionalism.
- Ability to integrate and work well within a global team.
- Strong focus on technology and a desire for a technically-centric career.
