Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights for decision-makers.
- Create forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
- Develop specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and available data elements.
- Contribute to defining, developing, enhancing, and tracking metrics and dashboard requirements to deliver results and provide insights and recommendations on trends.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure analytics are valid, meaningful, and provide actionable and comprehensive insights.
- Analyze data across various platforms, including social media, to present trends and patterns.
- Design and maintain business intelligence reports and analytics.
- Extract and analyze data, statistics, and information from various sources to interpret and produce relevant reports, summaries, and briefing notes for business decisions.
- Work with various internal stakeholders to translate needs into data reports, insights, and extracts.
- Optimize visual information for easier consumption and actionable metrics.
- Maintain processes to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and representation.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
- Ensure clients receive the necessary support to implement recommendations and solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Good understanding of data mining principles, predictive analytics, mapping, and collecting data from multiple data systems on-premises and cloud-based data sources.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify solutions in extensive data sets and convert insights into strategic opportunities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to work independently, collaborate across multiple teams, and build effective working relationships.
- Excellent understanding of current data protection and privacy laws.
- Passionate about achieving results and statistics.
- Technical expertise and knowledge of statistical concepts.
- Ability to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Excellent awareness of critical business issues and priorities.
- Programming skills with querying languages, SQL, SAS, etc.
- Good understanding of statistical analysis and reporting packages.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another quantitative field is preferred.
