Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and issues.
- Have hands-on experience with hardware and software issues, such as switch and router problems, LAN/WAN connectivity issues, troubleshooting network outages, and understanding network logs.
- Possess working knowledge of small, medium, or large-scale network switches.
- Have good practical knowledge of Linux server configuration, firewall setup, VPN setup, LAN, and WLAN (mandatory).
- Experienced in LAN (switching) and WAN (routing).Understand VTP, spanning tree, and STP concepts.
- Familiar with DNS and DHCP.
- Proficient with tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, WhatsUp Gold, and HPNA.
- Have a basic understanding of UPS systems.
- Responsible for planning the roll-out process and sequence of new systems and platforms.
- Prepare standard instructions and checklists for installing packages.
- Be customer-centric, providing a positive image of the company through your role as a point of contact with the onshore team/customer.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ITIL incident management guidelines.
- Follow the ticketing process according to the defined change request phases.
- Add value to the team environment by being enthusiastic and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Achieve all team and personal performance goals as defined by the company.
- Ensure tickets assigned to the queue are accepted and worked on time.
- Monitor ‘open’ change tickets.
